Soaring Consultant Spending at Croydon Council

Whilst Council Tax has skyrocketed and services have been cut to the bone, the Conservative Mayor's spending on external consultants has soared.

Not content with one of the most top-heavy senior management structures of any London borough, a cabinet of councillors on 'Special Responsibility Allowances' and an 'Improvement Panel' on the best part of a thousand quid a day, in the last financial year Perry thought we needed to bring in external consultants averaging over £42k PER DAY!

Nice work if you can get it. Not so nice if you're a Croydon resident who has to pay for it all.
